PrToFinal
A local Mac converter for Premiere XML projects. Drop an xmeml export, preview assets, sequences, warnings, and output size, then write Final Cut Pro FCPXML v1.13 without uploading project files.
Move a Premiere XML edit into Final Cut with fewer blind spots.
The MVP focuses on the practical handoff: read a Premiere XML export, show what will translate, surface warning items, and write a local FCPXML file for Final Cut review.
Analyze first, export only after the summary looks right.
The current build shows real project counts, warning rows, sequence status, and output state before asking you to import anything into Final Cut Pro.
How to use PrToFinal
The guide follows the current MVP: export a Premiere XML/xmeml file, drop it into PrToFinal, review analysis and warnings, relink media roots when needed, then write an FCPXML file for Final Cut Pro.
The MVP covers the core XML conversion job.
This is not a full Premiere effects translator. It is a focused converter for moving edit structure, media references, and sequence timing into Final Cut Pro.
Why this should be a small desktop product
Honest conversion boundaries.
The current build is useful because it is explicit. It preserves the edit handoff where possible and marks the parts that need Final Cut review instead of pretending every Premiere feature can be translated.
Useful for editors moving rough cuts, event edits, and creator projects.
Questions before importing into Final Cut Pro
Have a Premiere XML project you want to test?
I am testing the v0.1 converter with real Premiere XML exports before packaging it as a cleaner Mac release.
